The new record combines their Mississippi/Memphis blues roots with their unique electronica sound to bring listeners their own refreshing brand of “Future-Blues”.
The first single, “What It Is”, mixes Leslie-driven guitar and classic 70’s-era horns, with catchy vintage-blues samples that mesh with the funky, futuristic electronic sound Zoogma delivers both live and in the studio. Listen to the new single, streaming below.

Watch Bob Weir's Acoustic Performance With Joe Russo's Almost Dead November 17, 2016 00:35
Joe Russo's Almost Dead has been sweeping the nation by storm and just finished up a two-night California run last weekend. The band made stops in San Diego at House of Blues on Friday night and The Fox Theater in Oakland on Saturday night. The Oakland show has been a particularly hot topic, as the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir stopped by and joined the band a during the acoustic segment of the highly praised super-group's set. JRAD, which is comprised of Joe Russo (drums), Marco Benevento (keys), Tom Hamilton (lead guitar), Dave Dreiwitz (bass), and Scott Metzger (rhythm guitar) are known for keeping an upbeat tempo and playing much of the Dead catalog perhaps just one step faster, before launching the jam into "outer space."
Seeing the band in the more recently introduced, stripped down, acoustic setting with Weir was more than a treat for those in attendance. Weir ultimately surfaced after the opening tune ("It Must Have Been The Roses"), and remained on stage for "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall, "Black Throated Wind," "When I Paint My Masterpiece," and "Cassidy." Fortunately, front-row footage of the entire acoustic set has surfaced via TimeZonerTV. Watch in full and check out the complete setlist from the Oakland show below.

"This One's For Trey" Benefit Scheduled For January 7th At Aisle 5 November 16, 2016 20:43
As the one year anniversary approaches of a tragic accident experienced by a dear friend, Trey Hemphill. Trey and his close friends have come together and planned an awesome night of music at Aisle 5 in Atlanta on Saturday, January 7th with The Morkestra and After Funk, drinks, raffles, and other fun stuff all in support of Trey! While we are having a benefit concert, donations through this site will support the majority of the fundraising effort.
“This One’s For Trey” is a benefit focused on helping Trey get back to doing all the things he loves including playing sports, getting outside, traveling, and of course, seeing live music. While totally capable of doing all of these things, special equipment like a sports wheelchair, a hand cycle, and an off road wheelchair are essential to allow Trey to maintain his active lifestyle. Each piece of equipment range from $2000-$5000. With “This One’s for Trey”, we hope to raise $15,000 dollars to help Trey get these special chairs and remind others that obstacles can be overcome with the power of positivity. As Trey would say, ‘the show must go on.’

For those who aren't already familiar, Trey had a tragic accident while seeing his favorite band in Mexico in January of 2016. Requiring an emergency airlift from Mexico to Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, Trey underwent two major spinal surgeries. While the surgeon was able to stabilize his spine, unfortunately the damage to his spinal cord was already done. The accident left Trey paralyzed from the chest down. Trey remained for a month in ICU and then airlifted back to Atlanta where he underwent rehab at Shepherd Center for five months. The road to recovery has not been an easy one, but with his positive attitude and the support of his fiancé, Cameron, his family, and friends, Trey has made huge strides towards recovery and independence. For those who know Trey, it is known that he has refused to let this injury slow him down. He is dedicated to continuing to live the best and fullest life possible in spite of his injury.
This year's event will be the first of many events in our future. Inspired by the tremendous support of friends and family, Trey's accident illuminated the opportunity to help others in similar situations. After 'This One's for Trey', we hope to finish structuring our own non-profit foundation to support others in similar situations . Subsequent events will be named for the participant, "This One's for _____" and donations will help the recipient regain their sense of hope and life back. If you can't attend this year's event, please donate to help Trey return to his active lifestyle, and we hope to see you at next year's benefit.

Gregg Allman Cancels All Scheduled Dates Through January November 9, 2016 10:17
As a result of continued health issues, Gregg Allman has announced that he is cancelling all scheduled performances through January of 2017. In a statement on his website Allman says:
“This is the hardest thing I’ve had to do in a long, long, time. I’ve been on the road for 45 years because I live to play music with my friends for my fans. As much as I hate it, it’s time for me to take some real time off to heal.
“Not making a show is a really hard decision for me because I want to play so bad, but it’s also hard on my partners and fans who make plans to be with me. I never want to put anybody in a bad spot. I’m so grateful for the people that I work with and for the fans that come to my shows and I want to be at my best for all of them. That means I’m going to have to wait until I’m feeling really good, not just good enough like I have been. Good enough isn’t working for us all.”
Watch Gregg Allman perform "Whipping Post" earlier this year at Wannee here:
Allman's Winery shows in New York originally slated for this month will now take place in July. STS9 Covers Pink Floyd, Delivers Classic Nashville Throwdown November 4, 2016 15:46
Photos by Brittan Allison: Live & Listen
STS9's red hot fall tour continued on Thursday night, as the five-piece jamtronic act rolled through Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium. Fresh off a highly praised performance last weekend at Suwannee Hulaween, expectations for a night of classic Sector 9 tunes were high throughout the Music City. The band came out firing early with a "Forest Hu" > "Really Wut" opener, which segued perfectly into the classic "Four Year Puma," one which is always received with high enthusiasm. Next up was the heavy hitting "F Word," which was followed by "MOD," "Surreality," and "EB." After a taking a moment to breathe, "Vibyl" would follow and provide for a nice, steady groove that rolled beautifully into a cover of Grandmaster Flash's "The Message," before moving back into "Vibyl." One of the band's latest singles, "Get Loud," would ultimately close out the first set with a bang.
The second set opened up with a heavy-hitting take on "You Don't Say," which moved segued into the vintage jam "Grow." Two more of the band's newer tunes would follow in "Walk To The Light" and "World Go Round," the latter of which seems to have developed into consistent, lengthy jam. Guitarist Hunter Brown then fired into the opening notes of "Hubble," the second track off of the band's 1998 debut release Interplanetary Escape Vehicle. Another brand new tune, "Out Of This World," would follow and segue into "1103," which ultimately led back into "Out Of This World." The decision to close out the second set with the always energetic "Frequencies 2" > "Frequencies 3" seemed like a perfect fit and was very well received by the rowdy Nashville crowd.
The story of this show was undoubtedly the surprise three-song encore. As the band busted into "Supercluster," another brand new track from The Universe Inside, it's highly unlikely that anyone in attendance was predicting what would follow. The band called on long-time collaborator and guest vocalist Maureen Murphy, along with the choir featuring Moiba Mustapha, Kendra Chantelle Campbell, and Emoni Wilkins for a double dose of Pink Floyd. Being the first time that STS9 has touched the Pink Floyd catalog, you can imagine the response from the crowd as it witnessed the band working through the classics "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse." This would cap off a evening in Nashville that won't be forgotten anytime soon and will only add steam to an already heavy fall tour for STS9.

Listen To Greensky Bluegrass' Matinee Halloween Set From Las Vegas November 4, 2016 12:33
The festivities surrounding Phish's four-night run in Las Vegas last weekend were abundant to say the least, with a multi-night Disco Biscuits run, a late night Twiddle show, and two shows from Greensky Bluegrass all going down at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas. Similar to the 2014 Halloween weekend, Greensky performed both a late night show on Sunday night (Monday morning), as well as a Monday afternoon matinee prior to Phish's three-set Halloween show. In the spirit of the "musical costume" that proceeded their show, Greensky decided to perform an entire set of tunes that Phish has covered at some point over the years. This set was highlighted by several of the classic Phish covers, such as "Boogie On Reggae Woman," "Paul and Silas," "Funky Bitch," "A Day In The Life," "Nellie Kane," "Rock and Roll," and "The Ballad Of Curtis Lowe," as well as the much more rare covers of "Time > Breathe," "Light Up Or Leave Me Alone," "We're An American Band," "Ride Captain Ride," and "Sweet Emotion." Fortunately, full length audio from this performance has surfaced below, and can be streamed below.
Watch Widespread Panic Cover Nirvana's "Lithium" In Broomfield November 2, 2016 11:12
Jam veterans Widespread Panic just wrapped up an unforgettable Halloween run in Colorado, and footage from special occasion is starting to surface. Halloween season is a time where bands must get as creative as possible, as they know that their counterparts will be doing the same at their respective shows. This run saw Panic perform a Black Sabbath tune during the encore at eight consecutive shows. They also included a tune by The Doors during all three nights of the Halloween run in Broomfield. While Sunday night's "Halloween" performance was full of highlights, the biggest surprise of the night may have come in the form of a cover of Nirvana's "Lithium," which ultimately closed the second set. Video footage from "Lithium" can be watched below courtesy of YouTube user MrTopdogger.

Watch Phish Perform David Bowie's Entire 'Ziggy Stardust' Album In Vegas November 2, 2016 00:09
Monday night marked another highly historic milestone for veteran jam band Phish, as the band performed David Bowie's The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars in its entirety at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This would be Phish's first true musical costume since 2010, when the band took on Little Feat's Waiting For Columbus at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This set would also feature a nine-piece backing band, which included Trey Anastasio Band's Jennifer Hartswick as one of three backup singers, as well as a six-piece string arrangement.
Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, and Mike Gordon each took on his fair share of lead vocals, and drummer Jon Fishman even jumped in the mix for a verse on the opening track "Five Years." The tribute was one of serious nostalgia, as Gordon handled vocals on "Starman," McConnell took center stage for "Ziggy Stardust," and Anastasio revealed his true, inner frontman for "It Ain't Easy" and "Rock & Roll Suicide." We could go on and on about this set, but fortunately, video footage as surfaced via YouTube user Tom Rowles for your viewing pleasure.
Watch Phish perform David Bowie's entire "Ziggy Stardust" album in Las Vegas here:
According to Anastasio and McConnell, the decision to pay tribute to Bowie in 2016 was a challenging, yet easy decision:
Phish will take some much deserved time off over the next two months in preparation for another four night New Year's run at Madison Square Garden in New York City (December 28th - January 1st).
Listen To The String Cheese Incident's 80's-Themed Hulaween Set November 1, 2016 23:34
This past Saturday night, The String Cheese Incident delivered three stellar sets during day two at it's annual Suwannee Hulaween music festival at The Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. The set was highlighted by a variety of 80's hits, including "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" (The Clash), "Let's Groove" (Earth, Wind, and Fire), "White Wedding" (Billy Idol), "Sweet Child O' Mine (Guns N Roses), and rousing take on The B52's "Love Shack." The "Medley" that would follow was accompanied by an amazing fireworks display and included portions of David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance,” Grandmaster Flash’s “White Lines,” Men Without Hats’ “Safety Dance,” Dexy’s Midnight Runner’s “Come On Eileen,” Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s “Relax,” Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up,” Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me” and Talking Heads' “Burning Down The House”.

Team River Runner believes that every wounded and disabled veteran deserves the opportunity to embrace new challenges, invoke leadership, and promote camaraderie. Team River Runner provides an outlet to fulfill these beliefs – inviting wounded and disabled war veterans and their families to participate in adaptive paddling programs. Founded in 2004 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, TRR now offer weekly paddling sessions in 45 locations across the nation. Team River Runner is more than an adaptive sports program. It’s a program that provides hope and healing to those who have risked so much, yet asked for so little. It’s an opportunity to enjoy nature and realize its social, physical, and emotional benefits, whether it’s tackling whitewater rapids or paddling on peaceful flat-water. It’s an environment that facilitates connection, allowing veterans to reunite with their families and forge relationships with those who have endured similar pain. Our veterans are on the river to recovery.
-Two Days Of Music On A 90-Acre Organic Farm-
Weeks Bay Plantation is a 90-acre organic blueberry farm located on Mary Ann Beach Road in Fairhope, Alabama. Family and locally owned, the plantation was established to display the bounty and wonderful attributes that Baldwin County has to offer. With 15 varieties of 100 percent organic, antioxidant-rich berries to choose from, the acres of sweet blue fruit are reason enough to take a drive down. While the berries aren't currently in season, this is an opportunity to take in the beautiful setting of an all organic farm while enjoying a variety of both nationally-touring and locally established bands.
- The New Waterfront Stage At Weeks Bay Plantation -
This brand new waterfront stage was recently built up out of the lake in the natural amphitheatre at Weeks Bay Plantation. This location will allow for a dramatic increase in space and room to dance along the flatter area of the amphitheatre. Sustainability has been upheld with the stage by using all refurbished materials for the clamshell-style canopy. The new stage features a size of 32 feet wide, 24 feet deep, and 19 feet high. The location will allow for a beautiful view of the lake, as well as the opposing tree line, which will be lined with tents. Make sure to keep an eye out for the light projections across the trees as the sun goes down.
- Local / Regional Vendors On Site -
The Blueberry Jam will have a wide variety of local food, beverage, and retail vendors on site, including: Weeks Bay Foundation, Southern Soul, Tin Top, Warehouse, Bean & Bistro, Kittrell's Daydream, The Brewer's Alley, The Polish Boutique, Moon Pie Mama, and Hoops For Fitness. - The Heavy Pets Present Walrus: A Tribute To The Beatles -
This year's headlining set will come in the form of special tribute on Saturday night, with The Heavy Pets Present Walrus: A Tribute To The Beatles. Due to the overwhelming initial response The Heavy Pets have decided to take their extraordinary Beatles tribute on the road for select dates this Spring. Done in their distinct Heavy style, this tribute features blistering jams and unique takes on some of the greatest rock songs ever written. The powerhouse jams and gorgeous harmonies that The Heavy Pets have become known for find a happy home in this incredible catalog.
The Heavy Pets are an American rock band that blends rhythm & blues, jazz, funk, disco and reggae with rock & roll. Called “a living, breathing force of nature” by Relix Magazine, the Pets are known for their soulful songcraft and powerhouse live performances. Continuing the momentum of their current EP series, The Heavy Pets recorded and released Rags and Aces in the first half of 2014 amidst their rigorous tour schedule.
- Zach Deputy's One-Of-A-Kind Dance Party -
Friday night's headlining set will come none other than Zach Deputy, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in Savannah, GA who is best known for his live looping shows. He describes his style as "island-infused drum n' bass gospel ninja soul. When he plays live, he will loop and layer chord progressions, bass, beat boxing, drum sounds, vocals, and guitar. He performs with four microphones: a vocal synthesizer for choir sounds; one for high-hat, snare, and back-beat; one for main vocals, and one for vocal bass or bass drum. His looping shows are known for their variety. "There are so many different ways it can happen. I can loop my guitar first, go into drums or loop a vocal riff first or straight into beat boxing and loop it or just go acoustic. It's very free formed. Every show can be extremely different from another. I try to have little consistency when it comes to my show. I never want to get bored with myself." His fans will seek out live recordings of particular shows because each is so unique.
Deputy spends most of the year touring and at one time averaged 300 shows a year. His performances are mostly one-man-band looping shows, but also include Zach Deputy Band shows and acoustic storyteller shows. He has played many large festivals such as Jam Cruise, Mountain Jam, High Sierra Music Festival, Gathering of the Vibes, and All Good Music Festival.
- Bands On The Rise: McLovins, CBDB, and Little Raine Band -
Many will remember the two-night stand from McLovins in November of 2015, which featured an acoustic set, a tribute to The Band, as well as a 90-minute set of danceable original tunes. McLovins return for another two night stand this year (7:30 Friday / 7:00 PM Saturday), both sets being the second-to-last of the evening.
Taking a page from their jam band forefathers, McLovins always try to keep their audiences guessing at what’s to come. Their eclectic setlists and individual musical personas define the band’s live shows. Hailing from Hartford, Connecticut, McLovins have appeared at Gathering of The Vibes, Mountain Jam, The Peach Festival and the legendary Nateva Music Festival, as well as many acclaimed venues across the country. They have also performed with some of the most influential artists on the scene, including Buddy Guy, Robert Randolph, George Porter, Jr. and Oteil Burbridge.
CBDB is a progressiv
Little Raine Band, based in Birmingham, AL, has an ever-evolving sound and fan base reaching all over the Southeast. These four musicians strive to master the art of improv and creating a singular live show. LRB crafts their sound from their unique musical backgrounds and influences. Elements of prog rock, fusion, electronica, soul, and energetic improv can be heard at a Little Raine Band show.

- Beloved Local Bands -
In addition to several nationally touring acts, The Blueberry Jam is anchored by three of the Mobile/Fairhope areas most exciting and stablished local acts: Infant Richard & The Delta Stones, Paw Paw's Medicine Cabinet, and Lee Yankie & The Hellz Yeah. IRDS will kick off the festival on Friday night at 6:00 PM CST, while Lee Yankie (12:00 PM) and PPMC (1:30 PM) will be the first two performers on Saturday afternoon.
- Local Live Painters -
Several of the area's most talented artists will be on site this weekend, so keep an eye out for the live painters across the concert grounds. Watching a painting develop stroke by stroke through the power of live music is nothing short of magical, and we strive to continue building the art scene at The Blueberry Jam each year. We can't say thank you enough to our art director, Angela Krause Harley, for helping us bring this element to the 2016 Blueberry Jam!

Lettuce Funkifies Birmingham's WorkPlay Theatre September 30, 2016 18:42
Photos by Craig Baird Photography
Thursday night brought about a heavy night of funk at Birmingham's WorkPlay Theatre, as Lettuce brought it's "Sounds Like Party" tour to the Iron City. After an hour long opening set from Michael Menert, the stage was set and the vibe was just right for action packed funk party. This band's ability to come in and take over a room is nothing short of remarkable. No matter how many times you get out to a Lettuce show, you can never be quite prepared for the dance party ahead of you. Last night's cover of War's "Slippin' Into Darkness" just about set the room on fire, and flawless takes on Lettuce favorites such as "The Force," "Phyllis," "Does Your Mama Know," and "Sounds Like a Party" were more than enough to set this show over the top. You would be hard pressed to find a better room for this type of party than WorkPlay Theatre. This was certainly one that everyone in attendance will remember for quite some time, and the hype surrounding Lettuce's eventual return to Birmingham will be very real. See below for a collection of photos courtesy of Craig Baird, as well as a complete setlist and video footage from "Slippin Into Darkness." Lettuce continues it's tour this weekend at the inaugural Bear Creek Bayou Music & Arts Festival in New Orleans.
