Hulaween Jam Bands You Don't Want To Miss This Year October 12, 2025 23:08

Words by Isom Morgan: Live & Listen

Spirit of Suwanee Music Park will host the annual Suwannee Hulaween over Halloween weekend from Oct. 30th - Nov 2nd. Hulaween has once again stacked their lineup with some amazing musicians. This multi-genre blending festival has delivered year after year. 2025 is on track to be amongst the best to date. Some of this years headliners range from acts like String Cheese Incident, Glass Beams, LSZEE(Clozee and LSD Dream), Zeds Dead, and DJ Pee Wee a.k.a Anderson Paak.

This years line up is extra stacked with “jam ands”. Growing up on the jam band scene and seeing several of these bands for over numerous years, I am stoked for the talent Hulaween organizers brought in to fill the woods of Suwannee Music Park with their well orchestrated and mind blowing jams. Here are the top jam bands you'll need to prepare for this year.

The String Cheese Incident.

Headlining and hosting the festival ≤String Cheese Incident brings their amazing eclectic sound ranging from bluegrass (with Billy Nershi serenading the crowd with blissful melodic lyrics) to bass dropping dub step beats with Percussionists Jason Hann rapping some poetic spoken word). These Hulaween veterans always bring a magical vibe to the woods of Suwannee. Playing a total of 6 sets throughout the festival, The String cheese will present a special themed set on Saturday night and for those in attendance is a must see “Incident”.

Goose

Just finishing up an epic summer tour, Goose is coming into Hulaween primed and ready. Originating in Connecticut, Goose’s music and constantly growing / fervent following has skyrocketed them to the top of the jam band scene

Now a 4-piece, the band is sparking on all cylinders. I had the pleasure of catching them at the Gorge Amphitheatre this past Labor Day weekend. They play one of my personal favorites “Arcadia” during their set, and it was phenomenal. The synergy between the band members was next level. The two sets at Hulaween will be a spectacular performance and a perfect way to close out the Meadow Stage at 5pm on Sunday evening November 2nd.

moe.

Making a name for themselves on the scene in the 90s has fined tuned their sound to pure musical bliss. With such a diverse catalog, Moe.’s sets take you on a journey filled with some of the most compelling experimental improvisation you will find. moe. has been a staple of this music community for 30+ years now, and they'll remind you quickly why they've been so successful for this long. The addition of Nate Wilson on keyboards has been a perfect fit, and I've enjoyed every second of watching it unfold.

Moe is playing 2 sets at Hulaween Thursday night October 30th on the Spirit Lake stage. Moe’s first set starts @ 9:15 pm.

The Disco Biscuits

Originating in 1995 in Pennsylvania, The Disco Biscuits are known for their well orchestrated Trance fusion jam-tronica. The Biscuits consist of Mark Brownstein(bass), Jon “Barber” Gutwillig(guitar vocals), Allen Aucoin(drummer), and Aron Magner(keys/synth). They bring an enormous amount of energy to the stage. The Disco Biscuits will be playing two sets on Friday Halloween night on the newly upgraded Hallows Stage, so the laser light show during their performance will be next level. The Biscuits 1st set starts at 7:45 pm Friday October 31st.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead

The first time I saw JRAD, I remember thinking to myself, 'this is Grateful Dead on steroids." With their extremely upbeat renditions of Grateful Dead songs, JRAD consisting of Joe Russo (drums), Tom Hamilton (guitar/vocals), Marco Benevento (keys/organ), Dave Dreiwitz (of Ween) on bass, and Scott Metzger(guitar/vocals) put on a extraordinary display of musicianship during their show. Their improvisational jams are pure high octane, non-stop, mind bending psychedelic journeys. Joe Russo’s Almost Dead is playing Sunday afternoon at 3pm on the Hallows stage.

Other notable acts from the jamband world that we highly recommend checking out are Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Dogs in a Pile, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Hulaween is constantly improving the fan experience with interactive art installations thru out the festival and next level projections hovering over Spirit Lake.

Tickets are still available on the Hulaween website (https://hulaween.com/passes/). The Hulaween schedule can be found on the official website as well (https://hulaween.com/schedule/).
