Over the last three to four years, we have obviously followed the world of improv/jam rock closer than ever before. Since launching Live & Listen in the summer of 2014, we have had the opportunity to discover what seems like an endless amount of wildly talented up-and-coming bands. Right around that same time, we began hearing a band from Burlington, NC known as BIG Something in regular rotation on SiriusXM JamOn. We literally haven't stopped listening since.

Few bands, if any, have drawn us in to the extent that BIG Something has over these last few years. The level of creativity, energy, and improvisation that you find with these guys is in a league of its own. Between their consistently uplifting lyrics and truly intergalactic sound, this band found an undeniably unique groove early in their career, and they already have a rapidly growing, grassroots fan base to back it up.

As BIG Something works its way towards closing out a wildly successful year, they find themselves at Atlanta's Aisle 5 on Friday, November 10th. You'll want to arrive fashionably early for this one, as direct support is coming from Riverside Joyride, which features members of local favorites Voodoo Visionary. We recently scored a pair of tickets to the show, and we are giving them away to one lucky winner. Head over to our Facebook page to enter the contest, and we'll select + announce the winner on Friday morning.
