Turkuaz Announces Additional Summer Tour Dates April 25, 2017 12:33
Brooklyn based funk force Turkuaz is thrilled to announce a handful of club dates amongst their very busy Summer touring schedule. Highlighted by a two night stint in Rhode Island, additional stops include a pair of Upstate New York plays in Saranac Lake and Bouckville.
The newly added dates come as the band rounds out their Spring Tour that has included appearances at Euphoria Festival in Austin, TX and Wanee Festival in Live Oak, FL. The month long run concludes this weekend with a pair of shows supporting Moe in New Orleans, LA during Jazzfest. After a short break, the group heads to Colorado for their Red Rocks debut supporting Lettuce on May 13.
Summer highlights include first time trips to Bonnaroo, Camp Bisco, Floyd Fest, Northwest String Summit, and Revival Festival. These come in addition to returns to Summer Camp, Frendly Gathering, Disc Jam, Big What?, and more.
The band began 2017 aboard Jam Cruise where members joined Moe during their headlining set for a stunning cover of "This Must Be the Place" by The Talking Heads. Video of the collaboration can be viewed below. The two nights that the bands will be spending together this coming weekend in New Orleans during Jazzfest are sure to bring about more sit-ins and surprises.
