Be sure not to miss Chachuba on their upcoming tour in celebration of their second studio-length album, Lost The Mountain, released on September 4th. The Chicago-based band, newly signed with Hoplite, is excited to share their unique fusion of jazz and electronica with new audiences throughout the country this coming September and October.
Lost the Mountain showcases all of Chachuba’s musical styles and capabilities, bringing the listener through a cinematic journey. Between the layered synthesizers and endless influences (including but not limited to house, rock, downtempo, funk, dnb, and techno), the album offers a new experience with every listen. Each song on this album combines a unique combination of upbeat melodies by the guitar, Jimmy Klimek, and keyboard/synth, Sean DiCosola. To complement their melodic layering, the drums, Gary Goodheart, and the bass, Nate Beitz, keep your body moving as you anticipate where their music will take you next.
To kick off the tour, there was an album release party held at The Bourbon on Division in Chicago on September 8th. Later in the month, Chachuba had three sets at Resonance Music Festival in Thornville, Ohio. One set included covers Aphex Twin, Tycho, Ratatat, OTT, and more. In October they will be playing shows in unfamiliar terrains, such as North Carolina and Georgia, before returning to the Midwest to conclude the tour on Oct. 20th at Phase Five in Spencer, IN. While on the road, they will also be joined by Zion I x lespecial on Sept. 13th and 14th, as well as Exmag on all shows between October 3rd & 7th.
