The weekend run with Umphrey's McGee and Widespread Panic continued last night at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantaugh, NY.  One of the jam scenes most exciting rising acts, TAUK, was also on the bill as the opening act.  The collaborations began with Joel Cummins of Umphrey's McGee (keyboards) joining TAUK for their always entertaining take on The Beatles' "I Want You (She's So Heavy)".  Umphrey's then took the stage for a red hot set which included "Robot World," "Puppet String," "All In Time," "Ringo," "40's Theme," and "No Diablo," just to name a few.

The crowd at Jones Beach was then treated to a headlining set from Widespread Panic, delivering on many of the classics, like "Diner," "Pigeons," "Stop Breakin' Down Blues," "Bear's Gone Fishin'," and "Visiting Day."  The highlight of the night was saved for last though, as Umphrey's McGee's Joel Cummins, Andy Farag (percussion), and Jake Cinninger (guitar) took the stage with Panic for "Red Hot Mama," a Parliament Funkadelic cover which the Panic faithful can never get enough of.

This was the second time this combination has taken on the P-Funk cover, the last coming on October 15th, 2013, during the second night of a two-night run with Panic and Umphrey's at the Family Circle Cup, just outside of Charleston, SC on Daniel Island.  The two bands move on to Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA this evening.
