Steve Miller Band & Peter Frampton Announce 32-Show Summer Tour January 30, 2017 17:24

-
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Steve Miller Band are teaming up with legendary guitarist Peter Framptom for a 32-show summer tour. The tour kicks off on June 15th in Holmdel, NJ and spans from coast to coast before concluding on August 13th in Murphys, CA.  The tour includes performances at theaters, arenas, and amphitheatres across North America.

Both veteran rockers are no strangers to pairing up with their peers for a summer tour. Last year, Frampton shared stages with both Lynyrd Skynyrd and Gregg Allman; Miller toured with Journey in 2015. Both artists will join Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at this year’s Mountain Jam festival in June.

“Steve Miller was in a recording studio vocal booth stacking incredible harmonies the first time we met in London, circa 1970,” Frampton notes in a press release announcing the tour. “From that moment on, I have been a huge admirer of his multiple talents: singing, writing and, of course, his amazing guitar playing. Steve has already asked if I will come and jam on a few tunes during his set. ‘Yes, please!’ was my very quick answer.”

“He always sets the musical bar high, his band always knocks me out and I’m thrilled we are going to spend the summer together doing a great run of concerts,” Miller adds. “This is the kind of quality and talent we both strive to present and I’m looking forward to a summer of great music, exceptional performances and fun. Peter is remarkable musician.”
