Electronic producer and trumpet player Ryan Viser recently announced a three-city U.S. tour, starting in Atlanta, GA, on July 6th before moving on to Jackson, MI, and Tuscaloosa, AL the two nights following. He will kick off the tour at Aisle 5 in Atlanta, an intimate venue known for bringing in fresh, innovative talent, with a live band performance featuring members of Higher Learning and Space Kadet. Atlanta-based hip hop/funk producer Animal Ace will open the show.

The seasoned musician has had little time off the road thus far in 2017, bringing his unique “brass-infused electro-funk” sound to Envision Festival in Costa Rica last February, opening for Big Gigantic in Arkansas in March, and playing multiple stand-alone dates around Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arizona. Viser is known for his energetic sets, seamlessly shifting between playing live trumpet and spinning his funky and soulful produced tracks for dancing crowds.

This mini-tour will serve as a predecessor ramping up to Viser’s other announced summer tour dates, including multiple shows in his home state of Louisiana on July 20th and 22nd; UpNorth Music & Arts Festival in Copemish, MI on August 18th; and MoLove Festival in Granby, MO on September 8th.

About Ryan Viser:
-
Ryan Viser started playing the trumpet in Brazil at the age of 11. Growing up around the various beats of street drummers and sounds of Carnival, Viser developed a healthy appreciation for music at a very young age. Continuing with the trumpet after coming back stateside brought an introduction to jazz and improvisation that continued from middle school through his college years. With a natural creativity and ability to improvise, Viser has always enjoyed performing and creating various musical styles, and is well known for his work in the reggae band, Stiff Necked Fools (2009 – 2014), where he spent a great deal of time playing and touring the country.
-
A fan of electronic music, Viser began dabbling in the world of production, seeking to combine his electronic creations and aggressive trumpet style to form an innovative sound. In 2013, he launched his self-titled solo electronic trumpet act, Ryan Viser, and hasn’t looked back since. A mere year later, his track “Steppin Up” won the Management’s Choice Award in The Untz Challenge V, giving him the opportunity to shine on the stages of six major music festivals, including Electric Forest, Wakarusa, Sonic Bloom, and Summer Camp.
-
2015 was a breakout year and saw Viser joining up and touring the country twice with Filibusta, playing more festivals and shows, releasing his debut album, Metamorphosis, and also being named as one of the top ten artists in Future Funk by The Untz. His sophomore album, Louder and Louder, dropped in February 2016 and represents the next phase in the evolution of brass-infused bass music.
