Worlds are colliding in Birmingham on Saturday night as The Jauntee and The Talismen are teaming up for a big night at Zydeco. It's no secret that we keep a close eye on the jam scene's up-and-comers, and these are two bands we have had our eyes on for several years. Many will remember The Jauntee from their Friday night set at CukoRakko Music & Arts Festival last October. The Colorado-based quartet also made a stop in Birmingham with Twiddle last fall. They have been busy touring across the country in 2019, while performing alongside many of the most notable acts on the festival circuit. This band brings a super unique, eclectic vibe to any show, and we expect Saturday night to be no different.

The Talismen are wrapping up a busy summer which has allowed the band to tap into quite a few new markets. With successful outings in Atlanta, Athens, Savannah, and Mobile, it's clear that this young band is making major strides as they expand on their audience outside of Alabama. They are fresh off the release of their debut album, Jar Full of Something, which is quickly approaching 100,000 streams on Spotify. Rumor has it that they've been adding a bunch of new originals into the arsenal this summer.

We had a chance to catch up with members of both bands to learn a little more about what they've been up to over the summer.. Check out the quotes below and make sure to plan accordingly as you think about your weekend plans.

"It's been a busy summer for us thus far. We've had shows coast to coast and filled nearly all our weekends at home with local gigs in Colorado. It's been a lot of fun traveling the country this year and sharing our music with so many people. We're excited to wrap up Summer tour in Birmingham this weekend and look forward to sharing a Jaunt with our Southern family!"

" It’s been a great summer thus far for us. We started this tour on May 31st in Atlanta and wrap it up next Saturday in Mobile. Throughout, we have grown closer as a unit, and we're all super excited about the new music we have released as well at the songs we have in the works. We are very grateful for the opportunities we have had to play in front of new crowds this summer."
