Backup Planet Announces Release Of New "Live!" Series February 9, 2018 10:10

One of the southeast's hottest rising acts, Backup Planet, has shared big news with its rapidly growing fan base this week. In recent years, the band has stood out from the scene and become known for doing things a bit differently and not recording/releasing every live performance. This strategy created an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation around Backup Planet shows, because the fans have learned to expect the unexpected.  

Earlier this week, the band announced the launch of a new five-part series titled "Live!" which will be released in intervals over the next five weeks via BandCamp. Volume 1, which can be streamed below, features the band's recent headlining set from The Great Outdoors Jam on September 30th, 2017. Highlights from this set include a killer cover of Rush's "Tom Sawyer," as well as a guest appearance from members of lespecial on a 22-minute, jam-filled "Destination Earth."
