Members Of Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill, & Public Enemy Are Forming A Supergroup May 19, 2016 13:11

Earlier this week, Rage Against The Machine, who has been inactive since 2011, launched a website counting down to June 1st which included the phrase "Take The Power Back".  This phrase also appeared on posters across the band's hometown of Los Angeles.  After much speculation of an RATM reunion, Billboard is reporting that guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk are teaming up with Cypress Hill's B-Real and Public Enemy's Chuck D for a new supergroup called Prophets of Rage. They will reportedly perform material from all three groups. Vocalist Zack de la Rocha is the only member of RATM who is not involved.

The band's debut appears to be on June 3rd at Hollywood Palladium, with a show planned at Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles as well.  While there will not be a full-blown RATM reunion, this supergroup could be the next best thing.  Stay tuned for further developments and updates surrounding Prophets of Rage.
